"The Emergence of GPT Search and the Resonance of Han Kang's Literature"

Han Kang's Nobel Prize in Literature represents a historic achievement that showcases humanity's unique depth of insight and exceptional storytelling abilities. Yet simultaneously, we are witnessing the AI era deepening with the emergence of 'ChatGPT Search' (hereafter GPT-Search). This new AI technology can search for knowledge in real-time and provide immediate insights, fundamentally changing how we acquire and learn knowledge.

For instance, if AI takes over learning, will human learning become unnecessary? Should books be written for AI rather than humans? While these fundamental questions arise, we need to view them differently. The crucial point is that AI's 'learning' is merely data processing. AI should be seen not as our replacement but as a collaborator that organizes, analyzes knowledge, and assists in creation. We have time to develop and deepen our understanding of our relationship with AI. As the saying goes, "only death is irreversible" - even if we make mistakes and face trial and error in our relationship with AI, we can modify and improve it. What we need most now is to understand AI more deeply and build a wiser collaborative relationship.

GPT-Search, with its new capabilities, is expected to significantly enhance ChatGPT's utility across multiple dimensions. By integrating real-time search functionality, it replaces the traditional experience of exploring numerous links on search engines with conversational responses, allowing users to obtain information directly through chat without navigating individual web pages. Through this, ChatGPT can provide updated answers beyond training data limitations by accessing real-time contextual information, improving reliability in situations requiring high accuracy such as news gathering, scientific research support, and legal consultation. Moreover, it can provide customized responses to experts and academic users by limiting search scope to specific professional databases or domains, and make significant contributions to social media analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence by providing real-time trend analysis, social issues, market changes, and latest innovation information.

ChatGPT is evolving from a simple static assistant to an Adaptive Real-time Research and Information Tool through features like context-based responses to complex questions, personalized recommendation systems, intelligent information filtering, and natural conversation flow maintenance. This signals the end of the Era of Search and the dawn of either the Era of Symbiotic Intelligence, where humans and AI complement each other's shortcomings through collaboration, or the Era of Personalized Insight, where AI helps better decision-making by providing optimized insights and information for each user.

As AI-human interaction evolves, the emergence of GPT-Search brings significant changes and challenges to the digital ecosystem. First, this technology threatens the click-based advertising revenue model of existing search engine companies like Google and may lead to decreased traffic for website operators. Concerns are also raised regarding information quality and reliability - comprehensive information provided by GPT-Search may lack source transparency, and response quality may vary depending on the AI model's training level. There's also a risk of rapid spread of misinformation or biased viewpoints as users have fewer opportunities to verify original information. These changes present new challenges across how we produce, distribute, and consume information.

The new search experience (UX) introduced by GPT-Search will bring revolutionary changes to the entire knowledge circulation system. In terms of knowledge generation, it reduces the need for direct information collection through integrated analysis of various sources. In knowledge distribution, while it increases efficiency by providing comprehensive answers instead of individual links, it may cause side effects like decreased visibility and profitability of original content. In knowledge consumption, while user convenience greatly improves through simple conversational access to information without exploring multiple sites, there are concerns about reduced opportunities for deep learning. Additionally, continuous improvement of algorithms based on user interaction drives search system development, and these comprehensive changes are expected to fundamentally redefine how we find and utilize information.

At this moment of remarkable AI technological advancement, Han Kang's achievement reminds us of the value of uniquely human capabilities. Humans possess the special ability to explore deep emotions, search for life's meaning, and touch each other's hearts through language that expresses our shared humanity. While AI technologies like GPT-Search show innovative possibilities in information processing and knowledge transfer, Han's work proves that true understanding and empathy originate from human hearts, not mere data processing - this will remain a uniquely human domain that AI can never fully replicate, no matter how advanced it becomes.
